So by now you are convinced that Berlin View Woodcraft is the way to go for your new furniture. You're just worried about how to get that huge Rolltop Desk from Berlin, Ohio (translation: middle of nowhere. See Location), to your newly remodeled office. Well, here are your options.Customer Pick Up
If you can come pick up your furniture, great! This will be your cheapest option. We will have it assembled when you get here and then show you how it comes apart so you know how to put it back together again. Don't worry, we always keep this aspect of your furniture in mind while designing it. Most items can be taken apart into pieces that can be managed by two people. Just keep in mind that some pieces are named by how easy they are to move. Ever heard of a Mule Chest? They are typically 7' tall, 6'-7' wide and 24' deep. They are called mule chests because it takes 4 men and a mule to move one. The last one that we built the customer brought a horse trailer to take it home, complete with horse. No kidding. Which brings us to another good question: What should you bring to haul your furniture home? The size of vehicle and or trailer you will need depends on the size of the piece. Let us know what type of vehicle you have and we'll let you know if everything will fit. Please bring at least one blanket for each item/unit. If you are bringing an open pickup truck ropes are good along with a tarp if the weather looks like it could be wet.Our Delivery
We also offer delivery and installation. Let us know when you are available and we will do the rest. We will bring in the pieces, do any required assembly, adjust doors and drawers if needed, and inspect the units to make sure everything is up to our high standards.The pricing for our delivery is $2/mile (one way, from our shop to your house) + $25 setup. (Additional setup fee of $25/hour for built-in units.) Typically we deliver in Ohio and surrounding states. However, we have setup longer trips when we could get enough orders from an area to make it economical. We have several trips to New York City and been as far as Florida. So we may be able to work out something, even if you are not in our immediate area. We will be posting possible long trips under our appropriately named Long Distance Deliveries page. So keep an eye on that to see if we have a trip in the works for your area.
